Its that time of year again. The hustle and bustle of all things Christmas! Presents, trees, lights, Santa, cookies, and the somtimes dreaded CHRISTMAS PHOTOS! Of course i dont ever dread taking photos, i really enjoy the art of photos and the outcome of a treasure that will keep a memory for a lifetime. My husband and kids on the other hand could do without. But this year was 1,000 times better than last year. I truly think it has a lot to do with JoJo and Brielle being a year older but also having a photography team that can make this pleasant. They past few years we have been fortunate enough to work with Todds Nichols Photography . They put up with all of my crazy ideas and somehow make magic out of it! If you are in the Boise, Eagle, Meridian area… these are your people. They. Are. Amazing.
I want to share a few of our outtakes that didn’t make the final cut for the Christmas card but are still so darn cute. We originally were going to shoot outside but it was FREEZING and so windy it was close to impossible. We ended up shooting in an old, abandoned church and the outcome was pretty fantastic.
We walked in and there were 2 humongous wreaths! I knew it was meant to be.
The obvious reason for this not working is…… jojos new smile he has. Haha! Cracks me up. But how cool is the wreath?
Okay, on to the next idea… Ill wait to share our Christmas card photo on Christmas after all the Christmas cards get delivered but these were close runner ups.
^ jojo again with his new smile.
Of course I had to sneak in a few photos of Brian and I ..
So as i said before. The wind was just horrible. Todd and Julie were outside the freezing, cold windy weather setting up for the perfect lighting and not complaining one bit. I love them!
I love these photos and will cherish them forever! Even Jojo’s funny 4 year old smile. Below is the card I almost went with but you’ll just have to wait and see the final choice on Christmas! A HUGE Thankyou to Todd & Julie for creating this magic.
