If you are anything like me, a perfectionist, designing the perfect nursery can be a bit of a challenge. I think I recall my hubby finally telling me to just “make up my mind!!!!!” and I am no interior designer but sometimes I like to pretend that I am. I love to DIY and find a good deal. I am proud to say that most of the pieces in Jojo’s nursery are from local antique malls or discount stores! Of course a few splurges from Restoration Hardware, but how can you resist! I wanted the colors in his room to be soft and soothing, nothing loud or bright. While trying to design our nursery we found that it was a bit hard to find inspiration nurseries that we could actually picture for our baby boy, so i hope this post can inspire and help one of you mommy or daddy’s in a direction for your little bundles perfect nursery and to remind you that it doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
so here it is… the before. My blank pallet
YUCK, right?
we purchased our crib from Restoration Hardware and that cute old frame was an antique mall find.
As I searched online for days and in and out of children’s boutiques I just couldn’t get my mind to set on bedding until I saw the dreamy grey nursery bedding from RH. Simple and soothing.

THE DRESSER
I found this awesome french dresser in an antique mall in downtown Mooresville for a little around $200. It wasn’t always that beautiful! Here is the before.
I took the crib bedding in to BM and matched the paint (baltic grey) and painted this sweet thang!
The mirror was a steal – I found it for only $35 dollars and painted and sanded it to match the dresser.
